Promoting Transformation, Increasing Momentum - Shanxi Provincial Governor Jin Xiangjun and His Team Inspect ZDATA Green Big Data Industrial Base
On March 17, Jin Xiangjun, Deputy Secretary of the Shanxi Provincial Party Committee and Governor, Wu Wei, a member of the Standing Committee of the Shanxi Provincial Party Committee and Deputy Governor, Lu Dongliang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Shanxi Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Datong Municipal Party Committee, Li Qiuzhu, Secretary-General of the Provincial Government, Zhang Qiang, Mayor of Datong, and leaders of various provincial departments visited the ZDATA Green Big Data Industrial Base for research and inspection. ZDATA Chairman Zhou Kang, Vice President Ma Chao, and ecological cooperation partners participated in the event. Zhou Kang provided a detailed report on the project planning, construction, and operational status, highlighting achievements in technological innovation, integrated source-grid-load-storage, and other aspects.
Governor Jin, after learning about Datong's service to the computing power needs of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the development of the big data industry and data center cluster projects led by ZDATA, expressed high recognition for ZDATA's professional capabilities. He emphasized the need to accelerate the nurturing of strategic emerging industries. As an outstanding private enterprise in Datong, ZDATA should clarify its strategic positioning, seize development opportunities, and contribute to the creation of a provincial-level digital economic park, becoming a significant force in achieving the "dual transformation" of industrial and digital sectors.
Zhou Kang stated that based on the strategic deployment of the provincial party committee and government to accelerate the development of the digital economy, and thanks to Datong's vigorous promotion of market entity cultivation and business environment construction, ZDATA plans to build an industry-leading, large-scale customized data center base in Datong. The project has been selected as a key project in the province for three consecutive years.
ZDATA has consistently aligned with the Carbon Peak Action in Shanxi, conducting in-depth research and taking the lead in implementing green energy technologies to build environmentally friendly and low-carbon data centers. The Yanggao Green Big Data Industrial Base has achieved "Data Center Low Carbon Level 5A" ratings for both design and operation categories, awarded by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, the News and Publicity Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Open Data Center Committee (ODCC). Additionally, the self-built and operational 220kV substation, the largest single Internet Data Center (IDC) capacity in China, has enhanced the stability of the data center's power supply and increased the capacity for new energy sources, contributing to the environmental well-being of the region.
Technology is key, and talent is fundamental. To cultivate top-notch strategic technology talents and strengthen the high-skilled talent pool, ZDATA, in collaboration with the China Communications Enterprise Association and vocational colleges in Shanxi, and Beijing, is jointly constructing the "Computing Power Network Infrastructure Operation and Maintenance Integration Training Base." This initiative aims to innovate talent development, flexibly attract talent, and enhance scientific and technological research and achievement transformation.
The development momentum of Shanxi's digital economy is becoming increasingly robust, and the next five years will be a period of various policy opportunities and continuous favorable conditions for Datong's development. ZDATA will leverage this momentum, using the ZDATA Green Big Data Industrial Base as a crucial point in the national data connectivity strategy. The company will contribute significant efforts and persistent work to cultivate new dynamics and build new support, actively promoting data integration, smart empowerment, expanding new scenarios for digital integration applications, and fully supporting Shanxi in creating a new high ground for the development of the digital economy in the central region.
