Leading the tide, gathering in Shaoguan: ZDATA, as one of the first signed companies, joins hands with Shaoguan Municipal Government to build the core hub of "East Computes West Analyzes."
On May 29th, sponsored by the People's Government of Guangdong Province, and organized by the People's Government of Shaoguan City, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Office of the Provincial Committee for Network Security and Informatization, the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the Provincial Energy Bureau, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and the Provincial Communication Administration, the inaugural "AluUnion Global · Data Gathering in Shaoguan" - the First Greater Bay Area (Guangdong) Computing Power Industry Conference under the "East Calculation, West Calculation" initiative was opened. This conference is the first national conference held since the official launch of the national "East Calculation, West Calculation" project. It aims to implement the national strategic deployment of the national hub nodes for the integrated computing power network in the Greater Bay Area, showcasing the latest progress and achievements in the development of the integrated national data center collaborative innovation system.
As a domestically influential IDC leading service provider, Ma Chao, Vice President, and Kang Nan, Vice President, attended the negotiation meeting between the Shaoguan Municipal Government and data center enterprises, and manufacturing enterprises. During the meeting, the Development and Reform Bureau of Shaoguan City introduced the planning of the Shaoguan Data Center Cluster, a national hub node of the integrated computing power network in the Greater Bay Area, to the representatives from ZDATA, and a thorough exchange of views took place.
Wang Xi, member of the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Vice Governor, and Wang Ruijun, member of the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Shaoguan Municipal Party Committee, attended the conference and delivered speeches. Top experts in the industry, including Gao Wen, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Director of the Peng Cheng Laboratory, Wei Shaojun, Foreign Academician of the International Eurasian Academy, Double-hired Professor at Tsinghua University and Peking University, and Chen Junlong, Foreign Academician of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, Academician of the European Academy of Sciences, and Dean of the School of Computer Science and Engineering at South China University of Technology and Deputy Director of the Pazhou Laboratory, delivered keynote speeches on computing power technology.
The conference held the unveiling ceremony of the Shaoguan Cluster, the national hub node of the integrated computing power network in the Greater Bay Area. It interpreted the construction plan of the national hub node of the integrated computing power network and the development plan and investment promotion policies of the big data industry in Shaoguan. At the same time, during the strategic cooperation signing ceremony, Ma Chao, Vice President of ZDATA, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the People's Government of Shaoguan City to jointly promote the construction of the Shaoguan Cluster, the national hub node of the integrated computing power network in the Greater Bay Area. According to the agreement, as one of the first batch of signed companies, ZDATA will actively participate in the development, construction, and operation of the Shaoguan Data Center Cluster, helping Shaoguan build a real-time computing power center radiating South China and even the whole country, and promoting the high-quality implementation of the "East Calculation, West Calculation" initiative.
Since its establishment, ZDATA has been focusing on strengthening its presence in the Internet vertical field, expanding into government and finance sectors, and always maintaining resonance with the national development. In recent years, ZDATA has gradually formed a new data center development pattern with a core layout in "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei-Shanxi-Inner Mongolia," characterized by reasonable layout, advanced technology, green and low-carbon, and strong scale, managing and operating 8 data centers with a total IT load exceeding 400 megawatts, ranking among the forefront of the industry.
Through this entry into Shaoguan, ZDATA will combine its core technical advantages, long-term green and low-carbon development philosophy, and rich construction and operation management experience with the location advantages of Shaoguan. It will continue to strengthen interaction and cooperation with the government, provide a centralized data hosting location for customers in the Greater Bay Area, promote effective connection between big data resources and technology with social needs, drive relevant industries upstream and downstream, and become a prominent computing power hub and a cornerstone of the entire new growth of the big data industry, providing strong support for the implementation of the national "East Calculation, West Calculation" strategy.
Shaoguan City, as an important hub connecting the Greater Bay Area to the outside world, has been vigorously developing the data center industry. Leveraging its geographical location and natural environment advantages, it has undertaken a large overflow of data center demand from the Greater Bay Area. The settlement of the national hub node of the integrated computing power network in the Greater Bay Area in Shaoguan will become a breakthrough point, serving as the forefront and national platform for the collaborative innovation system of the integrated national data center, pressing the "acceleration button."
The "East Calculation, West Calculation" project is a strategic requirement for the development of the digital economy and a necessary choice to achieve the current "dual-carbon" goals. ZDATA's strategic layout in Shaoguan not only organically integrates the company's strategy with the overall development goals of the locality, injecting forward-looking and strategic forces but also has significant and far-reaching implications for realizing effective connection and coordinated development between the eastern and western regions. In the future, guided by policies, ZDATA will continue to layout in core regions across the country, fully play the strategic, foundational, and pioneering role of the "digital foundation," and vigorously create a new benchmark for digital infrastructure. It will contribute to the strong and large-scale development of China's digital economy.
